Twisters Gymnastics is looking to hire enthusiastic, active, reliable people who enjoy working with children.
All positions will have introductory paid training time. Training time is variable to position desired and past experience (if any.)
Positions Available
Class Instructor/ Substitute Class Instructor
Qualifications:
- Punctual and reliable.
- Personable, active and animated during instruction.
- Gymnastics/Fitness experience and experience teaching children is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
- Good with children- positions entail instructing children 18 months-15+ years old.
- Cooperative and collaborative, good working with others as a team.
- Physical activity involved in spotting and moving equipment: pulling, lifting, crouching, balancing, and climbing.
- Weekend availability is currently needed, but opportunities for expanded hours during the week.
Responsibilities:
- Class Instructors/Substitutes will teach their students how to safely execute beginner, intermediate and/or advanced gymnastics skills.
- Lead and supervise classes with boys and girls of different age groups (ages 18 months to 15+ years old) and talents.
- Teach skills and abilities at each apparatus, following the standard gymnastics curriculum provided by Twisters Gymnastics.
- Lead the standard gymnastics warm up on a rotating basis; assist in the warm up when another coach is leading.
- Ensure controlled class management: concentrate on all gymnasts, don’t tolerate disrespectful behavior, practice positive reinforcement.
- Assess the skills of each gymnast quarterly to determine readiness to move to next level, report the assessment to gym manager.
- Communicating with fellow class instructors and working in unison to create a safe and fun environment.
- Adhere to safe practices for all equipment.
- Review gym and facility safety with new gymnasts.
- Determine who will sub for your class if absent.
- Help maintain a clean gymnastics floor.
- Assisting with birthday party set-up on weekends (setting up inflatable attractions.)

Party Instructor
Qualifications:
- Punctual and reliable.
- Active, animated and fun!
- Physical activity involved in moving equipment: pulling, lifting, crouching.
- Cooperative and collaborative, good working with others as a team.
- Good with children, as parties range from children 4 years old -13+ years old.
- Weekend availability is a must! (Parties are held exclusively on Saturdays & Sundays.)
Responsibilities:
- Party Instructors will be responsible for instructing gymnastics parties with children of various ages.
- Communicating with fellow party instructors and hosts working in unison to create a safe and fun environment for children to celebrate.
- Maintaining a clean gymnastics floor and lobby.
- Sanitizing and preparing party rooms.
- Setting up & rolling up inflatable attractions.

Party Hosts
Qualifications:
- Punctual and reliable.
- Have strong verbal communication skills.
- Personable and friendly.
- Physical activity involved in moving equipment: pulling, lifting, crouching
- Cooperative and collaborative, good working with others as a team.
- Good with children, as parties range from children 4 years old -13+ years old.
- Weekend availability is a must! (Parties are held exclusively on Saturdays & Sundays.)
Responsibilities:
- Greeting parties & their guests and guiding them through their party.
- Assisting parties when needed in the rooms.
- Assisting as a 3rd instructor on the gymnastics floor (when needed.)
- Communicating with party instructors and working in unison to create a safe and fun environment for children to celebrate.
- Taking and logging payments from customers.
- Sanitizing and preparing party rooms.
- Maintaining a clean lobby and bathroom.
- Setting up & rolling up inflatable attractions.
